BNT warns of fake Eurovision 2027 ticket websites
Bulgarian National Television's newsroom has warned that fraudulent websites are already selling non-existent tickets for Eurovision 2027 in Burgas, before official sales anticipated for January 2027.

BNT News said several fraudulent websites have already been identified and are marketing tickets for the contest even though no tickets exist yet. The broadcaster advised fans to exercise extreme caution with sites attempting to sell tickets for the event in Burgas. It said unofficial platforms often exploit high demand and enthusiasm for the contest, leading fans to buy invalid or overpriced tickets.
Official ticket sales have not started. ESCToday reported that BNT News said official tickets will not be available until January 2027, and that sales are anticipated to commence then. Eurovisionworld says tickets will go on sale early in 2027. NME reported that further information about ticket sales will be shared in the coming months.
BNT News said fans should wait for official announcements about legitimate sales platforms before attempting any purchase. Tickets should be bought only through channels announced by the European Broadcasting Union and BNT, it said, directing fans to eurovision.com/tickets. Buyers should verify any ticket vendor and look for official links on trusted Eurovision and BNT websites. Unofficial purchases carry significant risks, including financial loss and denial of entry, the broadcaster said.
Burgas host city confirmed
The warning follows the EBU and BNT confirmation that Burgas, on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, will host the 71st Eurovision Song Contest, the first held in Bulgaria, NME and STV reported. The contest will run from 11 to 15 May 2027, with semi-finals on 11 and 13 May and the grand final on 15 May, according to Eurovisionworld. The venue is Arena Burgas, which opened in 2023 and holds up to 15,000 people for live concerts, NME reported. All three live shows will start at 21:00 CEST, Eurovisionworld says.
Bulgaria secured the contest after Dara won the 2026 event in Vienna with "Bangaranga", STV reported. At least 36 countries will take part, the EBU announced on 28 October, one more than in 2026, Nasha Niva reported. The EBU said Burgas was selected after a competitive process involving four Bulgarian cities, with Burgas and Sofia reaching the final stage after initial bids from Varna and Plovdiv, STV reported.
BNT director general Milena Milotinova said the selection marked "the beginning of the next key stage in Bulgaria's preparations" for the contest, according to NME. The EBU cited the venue and technical potential, accommodation capacity, transport and international connectivity as reasons for choosing Burgas, STV reported. The EBU and BNT will share further information about participating broadcasters and live events in the coming months, NME reported.
