Ferrari says 2027 Luce output is fully allocated
Ferrari said every Luce planned for 2027 is allocated and first customer deliveries start in the fourth quarter of 2026. The US starting price is $560,800.

“The Luce is in production as planned,” CEO Benedetto Vigna told analysts on Ferrari’s third-quarter earnings call. “All the Luce that we plan to sell next year basically are all allocated. If someone comes, he has to wait one year to get the cars.” He said a first few deliveries would come in the fourth quarter, with “a few units on the road” by the end of 2026.
Ferrari has not disclosed how many Luce cars the 2027 allocation contains or the split between existing and new customers. The Financial Times reported expectations of just under 500 units in the first year and about 2,500 through 2030, or roughly 600 a year.
US price undercuts early estimate
Ferrari set the Luce’s US starting price at $560,800, about $80,000 below what its €550,000 European sticker implied when the car was revealed. Car and Driver had reported a preliminary price of about $645,000, based on a Bloomberg report citing anonymous sources; those sources said the final figure could move by up to 10% either way, and a Ferrari spokesperson declined to confirm it.
In the US, the Luce starts $122,190 above the Purosangue’s $438,610 base price. In Europe it starts at €550,000 before options.
Design backlash did not stop orders
The Luce drew criticism after its May 25 reveal in Rome. Ferrari shares fell more than 8% on the Milan stock exchange the next day, Fortune reported. Luca di Montezemolo, Ferrari chairman until 2014, said: “We’re risking the destruction of a myth.”
In August, the first production car, Chassis 0, sold at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction for $40 million against a $1.1 million estimate, with proceeds going to the Ferrari Foundation. Ferrari has since held more than 50 local premieres and private viewings, Vigna said, and he argued perception changes when people see and drive the car.
What the money buys
The Luce has four electric motors, one per wheel, for 1,035 hp combined. Ferrari claims 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed above 310 km/h. A 122 kWh battery gives a preliminary WLTP range of 530 km, or 329 miles, Ferrari said; Car and Driver reported an EPA estimate of about 280 miles. Ferrari lists the car’s weight at 2,260 kg.
What happens next
International media test drives are planned for the first quarter of 2027, followed by test drives for customers, Vigna said. US customer cars are expected in the second quarter of 2027, according to Car and Driver. He reported “no critical issues, neither on manufacturing nor on the demand side.”
