Jeddah's Terminal 4 opened on 27 September with ten airlines in its first schedule
Jeddah Airports Company began phased operations at King Abdulaziz International Airport's Terminal 4 on 27 September, moving three airlines first and scheduling ten in total by 3 October at a terminal built for 15 million passengers a year.

The opening and the airline schedule
Wizz Air, AJet and SalamAir moved to Terminal 4 on Sunday 27 September 2026. Jeddah Airports said the phased move aims to redistribute passenger traffic, increase airport capacity and improve travel procedures after the terminal completed its operational, technical and service readiness checks.
Fly Jinnah and Nesma Airlines followed on 28 September, Akasa Air on 29 September, SyrianAir and Pegasus on 1 October, and Azerbaijan Airlines and Tunisair on 3 October, taking the first schedule to ten carriers. Fly Jinnah and Akasa Air moved from the Hajj and Umrah Terminals at B3; Nesma, SyrianAir, Pegasus, Azerbaijan Airlines and Tunisair moved from the North Terminal.
The company said the plan would eventually relocate all foreign airlines operating from the North Terminal, along with selected foreign carriers from Terminal 1 and the Hajj and Umrah Terminals, based on operational requirements.
Capacity and the record base
Terminal 4 covers 97,000 square metres and has annual capacity of up to 15 million passengers. It includes a dedicated facility for group check-in for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, at an airport that Rus Tourism News described as one of the main international gateways for travellers heading to Makkah.
The airport handled 53.4 million passengers in 2025, its highest annual figure, so the new building adds capacity equal to about 28% of last year's traffic. Jeddah Airports said the expansion supports the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Vision 2030, which target more than 90 million passengers a year through the airport by 2030, about 1.7 times the 2025 total.
Terminal 4 is the former South Terminal, which opened in 1981 and stopped public operations in 2020, when its services moved to Terminal 1, according to What's On Saudi Arabia.
A separate move to the Hajj and Umrah Terminal
Seven other airlines are moving from the North Terminal to the Hajj and Umrah Terminal between 1 and 15 October 2026, a change the airport announced separately on X. The airport said the move was meant to smooth operations and improve the passenger experience.
Tarco Aviation moved on 1 October and Yemenia on 8 October. SCAT Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, Daallo Airlines and Somon Air follow, with Sudan Airways last on 15 October. None of the seven is moving to Terminal 4.
What happens next
Jeddah Airports said more airlines would transfer to Terminal 4 gradually under the approved operational plan but has not announced dates beyond 3 October. It urged passengers to confirm their departure terminal through their airline's official platforms and the airport's website and social media accounts before travelling.
