本轮由 Evolution Equity Partners 领投。现有投资方中，红杉资本、Coatue Management、Cyberstarts 和 Insight Partners 也参与了跟投。继续跟投的还有 Prysm Capital、J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners、Alta Park Capital、Georgian、G Squared 和 Squarepoint，Dmitri Alperovitch 再次以个人身份投资。Island 表示，资金将用于产品开发，并支持公司在浏览器之外继续增长。
从浏览器到 control plane
Island 起家于 Enterprise Browser，把安全、访问和生产力控制放进员工本来就在用的那个窗口。后来公司陆续加入数据保护、数据防泄漏和 SASE，又把控制范围扩展到消费级浏览器和终端。现在它把这套组合称为 agentic control plane：一层供员工和 AI agent 共用的安全、治理与审计层。
这一层靠一个策略引擎和一条审计轨迹运行，覆盖浏览器、终端、应用、网络和数据。CTO 兼联合创始人 Dan Amiga 列出了五个组成部分：最后一公里控制、网络、数据、身份和可观测性。Island 把这套架构说成另一种选择，用来替代在技术栈不同环节各用一套工具做 AI 安全的做法。
浏览器方案的理由与边界
据 GCN 报道，AI agent 在网页应用里干活要经过浏览器，浏览器因此可能成为一个执行点。Agent 能跨应用、数据和内部系统取用资源，由此产生的治理问题，原本只为员工设计的控制措施并没有考虑过。据 Yahoo Finance 报道，Island 控制的是浏览器本身，而不是去监控 API 或做沙箱隔离。该媒体把这一选择概括为浏览器原生控制对 API 层监控，并点名 Dataiku 和 SAP 为监控类厂商，NiCE Cognigy 为路由工具。
